Unite Against Racism

UEFA EURO 2008™ will help further raise awareness of the fight against racism. The UEFA EURO 2008™ Unite Against Racism campaign is being organised by UEFA's partner, Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE), and aims to combat racism, discrimination and intolerance. Various activities are planned before and during UEFA EURO 2008™ including street football tournaments, an awareness campaign and the inclusion of local ethnic minorities. Two matchdays during the final tournament will be dedicated to this theme and UEFA is contributing €312,500 to this project. Martin Kallen, Euro 2008 SA chief operating officer, said: "We want to make sure that fans feel welcome as there is no room for violence and racism – inside the stadium or outside."
